Lost product key, can it be replaced?

I have 3 copies of Windows XP Pro. Still have reciepts and original disks, plus the product code stickers for two of them, somehow, I've lost the 3rd which is my personal system. (The other two are my kids.).

Does anyone know if there's any way to get my lost product code replaced in case I ever need to repair, or reinstall my XP system?

Follow this:
http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/repair_xp.htm
Near the bottom "View Product Key XP"
This will allow you to see the Product Key installed on the computer.

Otherwise contact Microsoft if Windows XP is retail:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326246

If Windows XP is OEM contact the seller, Microsoft may not be able to
help with OEM.

If the product is installed, there are a number of utilities that can
tell you the product key from the install. One such utility is Everest
Home Edition, free from

get the free Everest Home edition from
http://www.lavalys.com/index.php?page=product&view=1
which is an excellent general System Info tool, and its Operating System
- Operating System page will tell you the one used

Note that if the machine came with XP installed, this will probably give
a key used in producing an original image, then cloned to all machines
they make. So it is not the one for a reinstall. But then the key will
be on a label on the case of the machine
