lost power options

I cannot change any of the power options because a warning sign comes up
saying that i have to turn off my computers microsoft power options and work
with my computers power options. I have no idea how to go about doing this.
Any help would be great. Thanks

check event viewer log files as to why this warning is popping up!

go to start menu > run > eventvwr.msc

I tried looking on that, but the warning does not show up anywere in the
event viewer. Is there anything else i can do?
