lost photos

I downloaded photos from my camera internal memory and
from the flash card. I saved them to a folder. I wanted
to move them all to a cd. I did a "select all" on the
photos and started the process of moving them to the cd.
The cd wizard indicated that the files had been moved. I
viewed the finished product and it has not lost about
half of my photos. Where are they? Can anyone help?

If they're in jpg format,or whatever they are,go to my
computer,search,type:jpg
Or pick a specific photo,search,when it shows,select
in the sub-menu,search for all files of this type.
