Lost my Windows Picture/Fax Viewer

Somwhow, my Windows Picture & Fax viewer program no
longer seems to exist. This has always been my default
viewer but now the only thing that will open to view pics
is Microsoft Paint. Even when I specifically select the
Picture/Fax viewer the Paint program opens.

Does anybody know how I can get my default viewer to work
again?

First thing to try is to go to Start - Run and run
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

If that does not do it (or it can't find the file), then make sure you
can see hidden files, go to
C:\Windows\Inf\ and right click on shl_img.inf and take Install
