Lost MSIE Homepage

I had a Dell home page on my Internet Explorer browser.
It was called something like, "Joan and Mike's home page".

Without intentionally changing it, whenever I go on line
now, a "Searchalot" home page comes up.

On internet options, homepage selector, clicking on
default then apply & OK, doesn't bring back the original
homepage.

Typing in a name that I think is the original Dell
homepage, always results in a "Page is not available"
notice.

Can you tell me how to get the original page back?

Hi Mike,

First, scan your system for spyware and eliminate them.

SpyBot S&D searches your harddisk for Spyware and Adware

&

Adaware (similar)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
(Remember to perform a Webupdate to have the latest definitions installed)

If the problem persists, disable the browser helper objects using BHODemon.
You will know what each subkey represents:
