Navigate to:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer
Right click the file IEXPLORE.EXE
from the pop-up menu Select: Send To
from that pop-up menu select "Desktop (Create Shortcut)"
An Icon for Internet Explorer should appear on your
desktop.
You can then drag that icon from the desktop down to the
start menu bar or leave it on the desktop if you like.
