Lost IE Icon

Navigate to:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer

Right click the file IEXPLORE.EXE

from the pop-up menu Select: Send To

from that pop-up menu select "Desktop (Create Shortcut)"
An Icon for Internet Explorer should appear on your
desktop.

You can then drag that icon from the desktop down to the
start menu bar or leave it on the desktop if you like.
Hope that helps!

I upgraded to Windows Professional and have now lost my
Tray Icon and Desktop Icon. I still have a menu choice at
the top of the start menu and can access IE using it . I
can't find a way to recover the tray icon or desktop
icon. Any suggestions?

Click Start, Run and type:

%programfiles%\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

Does Internet Explorer launch?
