Lost games

When Windows is installed, it installs 5 or 6 games; Hearts, Solitaire, etc.
Now when I go to Games in All Programs, it's empty. EMPTY!
Where did my games go and how do I get them back?

Thank you very much.

Here's one way.. Open Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, click the
Add/Remove Windows Components button in the left pane. Under
Accessories and Utilities, deselect Games, and exit. Then return and
add the games back.

1- WinKey+R
2- Insert the appropriate string below
3- Click on OK

Hearts: %SystemRoot%\System32\mshearts.exe
Solitare: %SystemRoot%\System32\sol.exe
Freecell: %SystemRoot%\System32\freecell.exe
Minesweeper: %SystemRoot%\System32\winmine.exe
Pinball: "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Pinball\PINBALL.EXE"

[If you're pining after these games, you must be /really/ bored.]

You assume. My landlady's brother-in-law lost all his games and I didn't
know what to tell him to get them back.
I'm more into Formula One Racing, Flight Simulator 10, Nascar 2007 and
Civilization IV.
And I don't know what you mean with your response. Again you assume.
WinKey+R WTF is that?
Insert the appropriate string? I'd like to.

Start with Solitaire - the easiest.

The executable is c:\windows\system32\sol.exe - does that file exist?
How about mshearts.exe?

If the files do not exist in system32, then games were probably not
installed or removed.

If the sol.exe exists and is not showing up, do you see a Games option
in All Programs but just no offered games under it?

Everything you see in the All Programs offerings are just folders and
files somewhere. For games, the folder is here:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\Games

Do you have that folder? Is there anything in it? What you see in
that folder is what you see in All Programs, Games. If it is empty,
you will see nothing.
