With "Add/Remove Windows Components" when I try to restore Games (several
exe files) It says "Please insert the floppy disk "Windows XP Home Edition
CD ROM" in drive A: The only CD I have is the MS Win XP Upgrade and this
does not read. Are the exe files I am looking for some place else? Can I
purchase the CD ROM disk? If so where? Thanks

Can't or shouldn't be drive A: as that won't be a CDROM. What did you
click on when trying to restore the games? You do not want to click on
Add New Programs but rather Add/Remove Windows Components. This should
give you a check list of items, highlight Accessories and click on
Details, highlight Games and click on Details. Check what you want and
OK your way out, complete the process with the necessary Next(s) and the
games should install from the CDROM.

If they still don't install, check the Microsoft site to see if any of
these games can be downloaded.

I was not able to find a download. Is there a "setting" that might be
blocking me from reading from the CD-ROM? From START to Programs to Games
the box is gray and reads "empty". This is also true for START , Programs,
Accessories,Accessibility, EMPTY in a gray box! Thanks Robert G

I'm not sure what your problem is if you followed my suggestions. The
games are on the upgrade CDROM in the I386 directory. For example,
hearts is there in several files:
MSHEARTS.CH_
MSHEARTS.CN_
MSHEARTS.EX_
MSHEARTS.HL_

You can't just drag and drop from the CD to your hard drive and then
rename the extensions as the files are compressed. "Add/Remove Windows
Components" should be able to find these files without any input from you.
