lost files

Hello. Well, here's my problem. My son (who is 3 years old) was playing on
my computer and accidentally deleted some wordperfect documents I had. I
can't seem to locate them now. I had them on "My Documents" folder, but now
they are gone. They weren't in the recycle bin folder either. Can anyone out
there help me. I really need those files. They are REALLY important to me.
Please do help. Thank you in advance.
