My c drive has 8 GB .My 2nd drive(D)had 40GB.After having
problems with booting to WinXP Home(missing, corrupt files)
I reinstalled Xp to repair these files.I have no problem
with starting windows now,but my "d"drive now says it has
the same space as "c":8GB instead of 40GB!Everything I
had on "d",photos, programs, documents, etc. are nowhere to
be found. What happened and how can I get my drive back?
Thanks for any help!

How big is the drive your booting XP from, maybe 40gb? Sounds like the
drives did a swap, just a guess.

My boot drive is C and is 8GB.My second drive,D is 40GB
.Going thru My Computer/Disk Management it shows the
capacity for D at 38.14GB.Everywhere else D shows up as
having only 8GB.After repairing Winxp the only thing
showing on D is a Windows folder(which I did not have
there before). Most of the files in it are only 8kb and if
I try to access them I get the "windows needs to know
what program to open with".Using notepad, all these files
show up as almost totally all 0's.Also disk cleanup shows
1.000,000kb of chk files.sorry for delay in responding!
