Trying to help out my mother, who has windows xp...new to computers. I'm not
familiar with xp myself. While trying to activate her windows, she got
sidetracked along the way and made her way to some kind of calendar. She
clicked on" return to the first day", and everything on her desktop
disappeared. How can I get it back?. Part of what is missing is her Norton
Antivirus.
On her desktop is a disable proxy icon....what is this??
There were so many people trying to set up her computer, she's not sure if
her windows was ever activated. Is there a way to tell if it has been
activated??
PLEASE HELP!!!

If it hasn't been activated then you will see an annoying little key set in
the task bar by the time. Also, after 30 days you will no longer be able to
use XP until it is activated. The only thing that sounds familiar with the
calender thing is the System Restore option. I am not real familiar with this
tool because I rarely use it , but I think there is an option to undo the
restore.

You can reverse System Restore by going back to System Restore and tell it to
undo the last restore.

to Undo the last restore.
