Lost Emails

Hi I use Windows Mail and have done so without problem for 12 months
Today I clicked on the inbox folder and my emails showed as normal - when I
moved my mouse over an email then the whole folder just emptied.
At first I thought that I had dropped them into another folder so I moved
the mouse to another folder - exact same think hapened.
I have now lost 80 important emails very quickly - does anyone have any
knowledge on how to get them back ?
They are not in deleted or any other folder they just vanished

Check the inbox directory in the message store and see if the eml files are
