Lost emails and Folders

Can anyone suggest reasons why Outlook now longer stores
my old email messages in my inbox and also why I have
lost inbox subfolders? I have created no rules for
deleting these emails and folders. Thanks much, Jeff

What have you done recently that involves your mail client?

Assuming Outlook *Express*, see this page:

1. Disable Background Compacting:

2. Disable email scanning by your AV app.

3. Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive mail.
