lost email

I am watching my email download from our server, and once
in awhile an email is deleted completely before it is
read and does not show up in the deleted file.

A very common cause for this type of behavior is:

a) Junk mail filters moving or deleting the messages.
b) Another pop client with the same account is also downloading these
messages.
