Lost email

Last week, I updated from Windows ME to XP Home Edition.
My Outlook Express address list transported to XP but all
of my old correspondence is NOT there. How do I restore
my old folders and old email? I have contacted
Bellsouth (my ISP-DSL provider) but they do not have the
information on their server. Could I revert to Windows
ME, save the information, then reinstall XP?
