Lost Dvd writing!!

I have lost the ability to write to both of my DVD/CD burners. Otherwise they
are functioning. I have heard others have had this happen afer a windows
update? Any help appreciated!

Windows XP has no native ability to write to DVD +/- R/RWs. What software
are you utilizing to write to said media and have you tried
uninstalling/installing said osftware and/or looking for updates/patches for
it from the manufacturer's web site?
