Afer installing XP over ME, my CD Creator is non-
functional. I tried downloading the update from Roxio,
but XP will not allow CD Creator to open to accept the
new driver. What do I have to doto use my CD burner,
install a different CD writing program?

Right, as long as your have the patch that you download from Roxio it will
work fine.

You can probably get Easy CD Creator (only) to work by the following
method:

Uninstall all the Adaptec - Roxio software, including that and Direct CD
and TakeTwo (which will *not* work).

Get the upgrade to take your 4.02 to 4.05

Tidy up registry entries - get a registry patch file, cdgone.reg, from
www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip, extract it, r-click on it and merge
it into the registry

Reboot, then run your present installation CD to install Easy CD 4.02
*only*. When the setup exits, before rebooting, run the upgrade and
then reboot. This usually results in a program that works - if it does
not, or you want the DirectCD type facilities on CD-RW, you have to buy
a new suite - either from Roxio at full price, or from say Nero plus
their InCD
