Lost documents

I upgraded from Me to XP and now can't find the documents
that I had in Word. Is there a way to retrieve them
without uninstalling XP?

Where were the files? Did you back them up? What kind of install did you do,
clean install or upgrade install?

When upgrading from 98 or ME it is a good idea to run the
compatibility checker beforehand. It is quite common to
have everything in My Documents deleted. If this is going
to occur it is reported after the compatibility check is
completed. I feel your docs will be gone.

I did an upgrade install of XP. My Word documents were
stored in My Documents folder.

C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\My Documents
