I am using office 97 and I must have overwritten a file with a second file I had open. Now I have two files with the same data as one is supposed to have. The data in the other file was replaced by the data in the first file

Is there a back-up feature like there used to be in wordperfect and lotus 123

Is there anything I can do to get back the original data? Everything in Excel is set to the installation default

Leny,

Unless you saved a backup file somewhere, the data is gone
forever.
