Lost cdrom and burner drivers

I am running a w2k server and it has suddenly lost the use of the cd rom and
the seperate burner. When I reboot the server the hardware is present, but
has the yellow exclamation mark alongside both and says 'this device is not
working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this
device. (code 31)'
No matter what I do to try and correct this problem it persists, any
ideas?????
