Lost Access to my Business Contacts Form

R

Ric

Hello, I am a new user of Outlook 2003 and Business
Contact Manager. I have 28 contacts in my Business
contacts in Business Contact Manager. Out of the blue,
when I click "New" to create a new contact I get the
following message:
The form required to view this message cannot be
displayed. Contact your administrator.
When I click ok I get:
Array index out of bounds.
when I click on a card to open it I get:
Unable to display the folder. Your profile is not
configured to support this operation for this user.
At some point I got this message:
The custom form could not be opened. Outlook will use an
outlook form insr=tead. The form required to view this
message cannot be displayed. Contact your administrator.

I don't know where it got the idea I have an
administrator - I'm afraid there is just me. Also it
worked one minute and then just started spewing these
messages. Worse I cannot access the information I stored
against these clients and I was really happy with the
system, in fact it was fantastic. Any ideas how I can get
access to this mysterious form? Which I hasten to add, I
did not create it - it was the standard MS form that
opened when I first loaded the software.

You can fix the problem temporarily by the following
steps ... I'm trying to figure out how to fix it
permanently still!

To resolve this problem, use one of the following
methods:
Clear the Custom Forms cache in Outlook 2003. To do so,
follow these steps:
On the Tools menu, click Options.
On the Other tab, click Advanced Options.
In the Advanced Options window, click Custom Forms.
In the Custom Forms window, click Manage Forms.
In the Forms Manager window, click Clear Cache.
Click Close.

There are other methods outlined in this article as well,
but be careful ... it is incredibly easy to wipe out all
you've saved if you follow the other directions ...
speaking from experience! Be sure to back up your
business data base before you begin!

Angie - you are an angel. Thank you from the bottom (and
Top) of my heart. I just did what you so professionally
outlined and it worked. I have never used a news group
before but I was desperate and you saved my bacon. Thanks.
