I have a Gigabyte mother board and when I upgraded to service pack 2 I lost
my sound. I had went to a Windows configuration program (similar to msconfig)
and had to reset my sound. For the life of me I cannot figure out the name of
the program. Does anyone have a clue to what I am referring to.

I have a similar board probably as I'm a Gigabyte fan. Is onboard audio
enabled in the BIOS? If so then check your drivers. Go to the control panel,
click on the system icon in the classic view, on the hardware tab click
device manager. Under the sounds tab is anything marked with a yellow icon?
If yes then right click it and select properties and update the driver. If
no then go ahead and check in the sounds and audio devices in the control
panel and see if anything if the volume is turned down or muted.
