Loss of Settings on Reboot

May be a little OT, but,

On reboot a Logitech mouse looses its memory of settings for motion. Can this be
resolved in the registry or OS, or is it strictly a driver issue?
Little old lady at the church. (I know; buy her another mouse)

Shut down the computer properly instead of switching it off at the
mains - that will give it a chance to save its settings.

Try on another account and that would tell you if it is a corrupted
profile not saving.
