Loss of network connection

When a user is working on something like an Excel
spreadsheet and they stop for example for lunch or to
work on another program. When they come back to the
application the connectivity to the network for that
particular application may have been lost. Is there a
way to stop this from happening?

I had the same problem. Fixed it using the DOS command "net config server /autodisconnect:-1
Was listed in an older post. I thought I had tried it but for some reason it had not executed correctly
