Losing links in Word 97

I have a word 97 document that have extensive links. After I save and then
reload the document all links are gone. What am I doing wrong?

I have a word 97 document that have extensive links. After I save and then
reload the document all links are gone.

Are you absolutely certain you're saving the document as a Word document, and
not in some other file format? Go to File/Save as and check what's selected
from the list at the bottom of the dialog box.
