J jeff Sep 9, 2003 #2 Lynda The printer is connected via a network but it was setup on the pc as a local printer. I created a new port on the pc and used the ip address. I have 9 p/c's setup this way and they have no problem losing the default in Word. This is the only pc that uses Word and Excel.

L lynda Sep 10, 2003 #3 Jeff uninstall the printer driver and reinstall... Office/Windows 2k should be the problem. hope this helps L
