Loosing permission to print to network printer

Guest

Some users are getting an error message when they try to print to their
network printer "you do not have permission to use this printer in Windows XP"
This happens suddenly for no good reason after printing OK for weeks or
months.
I usually have to add the user to the security portion in the printer
properties and then they print OK. Everything looks OK in the properties
others print ok to the same printer.
Any ideas????
Thanks

I'll try that but I'm curious to know why the user suddenly gets the error
message after print to the printer fine for a long time.
This happens randomly to any of the 250 PC's and 7 printers. Even if the
printer is deleted and re added the message appears.

Are the network printers directly on TCP/IP ports or Print Servers or are
they connected to Server PCs?

The printers are connected to the network via their network cards using
TCP/IP. they have print queues on a print server and are then shared as usual.

Thanks

It sounds like somehow they are losing the IP addresses and the PCs can't
'find' them.
