Loop music

Is it possible to have music automatically start on slide 1, and when your
slideshow loops back to slide 1, not have the music start over from the
beginning?

Do you want the music to just play regardless of which slide you are on?

Yes. The music should start playing automatically on slide 1, and continue
playing when slide 25 transitions loops back to slide 1, without taking a
break in the music, or starting over (which is what it's currently doing).

Here is an easy way to do that. Create 2 identical slides just like slide 1.
The first 1 will be used only once in the beginging. The second one would be
slide 26. From slide 26 you would go back to slide 2 and continue. The music
only starts on slide 1 so it will not restart. Let me know if it's not clear.

It makes sense, I just don't know how to tell slide 25 to go to slide 2. I'm
using Powerpoint 2000. Any ideas?

Just create a link to slide 2. You can add a hyperlink to the entire slide,
click cntrl-K and select a slide from the left. Then simply select slide 2.
