looks like a common problem, not able to search from address bar

I am using Windows XP and am unable to search from the address bar. I have
run Ad-Aware several times removing all spyware. I have also used your
suggested parasite detectors and have found nothing. I'm not sure what to
try now. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Have you tryed the simple things first..
Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab..
Search from Address bar>choose your option

Whenever I try to search from the address bar, I get a "http://" etc like
it's trying to open a page named whatever I'm trying to search for.

Hello I have a different address bar problem and wondered if anyone can help
me? I have "lost" my address bar and would like to know how to get it back

Unlock the IE toolbar, and drag the Address bar handle to the correct location.

The Internet Explorer Address bar is missing:
