Looking for freeware sites...

Hi, I really haven't been visiting any freeware sites in a pretty long time, so
I'm not up to date as to what freeware sites exist.
Funny that I haven't had any problems finding good quality free
software as of late without them :D

I am looking for sites to post my program, preferably sites that don't
try to charge you like nonags.com does if you have a "commercial version"
of your program. Also, I want sites that don't require the author to sign
up for anything or create passwords. What a waste of time.

Ther are 2 huge listings of freeware sites I know of (of course, there are
more):

1) the freeware book (a downloadable set of html files with many
freewaresites) at http://tinyurl.com/7j4t

2) Henk de Jong might even have a larger listing at:
http://home.hccnet.nl/hmdejong/, but some are just sites with freeware to
download, not specificaly freeware listings.

I think it's going to be real hard to find a site that doesn't require you
to register and log in. Otherwise, they would get scammed all the time.

That said, the 4 best I can think of are

www.betanews.com

http://www.majorgeeks.com

http://www.webattack.com

Webattack is now Snapfiles:

http://www.snapfiles.com

And the freeware page is:

http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/

The webattack link still works, though.
