Looking for file for Frontpage

Whenever I go to do most anything... access the internet, print a page, or
even when I went to do this post, Frontpage tries to start-up (I think). I
get an error message "the feature you are trying to use is on a network
resource that is unavailable" I then cancel, cancel, cancel and I get an
error message that it cannot find the file "proplus.msi" I cancel again
and then I can finish whatever I was doing. I have Microsoft Office XP
Professional installed on my computer. I have never installed Frontpage... I
have no idea what this even is??? Could my computer have accepted an
automatic update of some sort? How do I stop this?? It happens with almost
everything I try to do. Please Help Me!!

Some components of FrontPage are installed within the OS to enable certain
networked file applications. Have you tried repairing your Office XP
installation? Have you let the entire process go all the way through,
including loading the Office XP Pro CD if required? It could be that a
certain networking feature needs this file for some bizzarre reason and
often just letting it go and try to find the file on the CD and complete the
install solves the problem (with luck and a lot of finger crossing).

Hope this helps,

I've had Microsoft Office XP for years. I've determined that this frontpage
stuff had to come from an automatic update (I will never let an automatic
update happen again!). I looked back to see when I started receiving these
messages and it was the same time an automatic update took place. The only
way for me to fix this problem was to perform a system restore going back a
few days before the update. This worked. I would be surprised if there were
not a whole lot of other people that will have this same problem.
