Looking for desktop manager supporting icons

Hi,

I am looking for a virtual desktop manager for Windows XP.
I want to assign specific icons to each desktop, for example:
- desktop 1: icons about studies
- desktop 2: icons about languages
- desktop 3: icons about games
- ...

I like to put icons on the desktop at locations easy for me to
vizualize. I don't use the "reorder" option to place icons in
alphabetical order or following their size, etc.

I tried a few desktop managers but I noticed that many do not support
this feature. I found one that did it but it moves icons when you
switch desktops or reboot your computer. It's really annoying that the
icons don't stay where you left them.

Does anyone know of a desktop manager that doesn't reorder the icons
placed on the desktop?

I haven't tried it, so I don't know how good it is. But, there's Virtual Desktop Manager,
one of the free Powertoys for Windows XP. The copy says that it will manage up to 4
virtual desktops.
