Looking for a freeware DVD authoring program...

I recently got a Panasonic DV camcorder, and tried WinDV with it:

Free, one executable, and works GREAT! Now, the output file I get is an
AVI, and what I want to do is use some kind of authoring tool (freeware
of course) to create a DVD with menus..etc from the multiple AVI files I
have captured. Is there something out there? Thanks!

You will need an MPEG2 encoder and a DVD author program
TMPGenc 12a (later versions are not free for MPEG2) and DVDstyler or
DVDauthorgui.

Very good advice. Found the programs and now all I have to do is give it

Try rejig ( tmpeg works, but you have to buy it for the me[ecg2 part
after the trial period)
