Long Beep

I dont know what happens to my computer after about 1 hour
i get a long continous beep. I have checked the memory (
memory is 128MB ) but its fine.

But i do not get such long beep in win 98 or Win XP only
in Win 2k

Does the computer display any other activity, such as freezing up or
shutting off when this beep occurs?
