Logon screen asks to click user name, but none are available

originally the computer in question (XP Home) was setup to have the user
prompted to click on the username and enter a password at the welcome screen.
Then I changed it to just go to the desktop on startup after displaying the
welcome screen.

I was using TweakUI to remove some animations and such for performance and
such, where I noticed an option to display usernames at the login screen.
Figuring that since the computer booted right past the welcome screen, it
wouldn't matter, I unchecked the box.

Now, the welcome screen shows up, asking the user to click the username, but
no usernames or icons appear!! I am totally locked out of that computer.
Giving the 3 finger salute allows me to give a username/password in the Win2k
style, but it isn't accepting my username. Trying to login with the username
'Administrator' gives an error message saying I cant logon becuase of an
account configuration. Do I have to do that in safe mode? Is there a way to
recover from this, or have I mucked the registry? Can using the CD that came
with the computer recover from this? Boot disk? help!

Ctrl-Alt-Del is what I meant by '3 finger salute'. Sorry for the confusion.
When trying to logon with the user name, it says 'the system could not log
you on...' and trying the admin account gives the message described below.
