Logon Screen "1 new email message" error

Ok ive got XP pro (recent new install), with 3 user accounts setup

On the "Fast User-Switching" login screen it constantly says one of the user
accounts has a new email message.... when it doesnt!

Ive checked outlook express and outlook 2000 and hotmail etc etc and there
are no new emails



Any ideas?

You can download TweakUI from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp and when installed go to Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>Tweak UI - then go to Logon>Unread Mail - disable it in the right hand pane.

If you don't want to go through all that trouble go to:
start---run---regedit---ok
Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Microsoft\windows\current
version\unred mail
Double click the value message count in the right pane and change the value
to 0 (zero),.
