I installed the .NET Framework upgrade from MS Update website in Win XP
Pro.
I have only one ueser but I am now required to log on each time I boot.

How can I fix this?

NET Framework messed up my user accounts as well, see my post from last
night. Still not resolved. Type "control userpasswords2", no quotes in the
Run box and you will see a phantom user called ASP.NET has been added.
DON'T do what I did and delete it, I lost all my e-mails, settings and
more..

Install TweakUI for XP. You can tell which users to show on the Welcome
screen.

BTW: I have deleted the ASP.NET user without loosing my emails/settines
etc. May be you had set up the APS.NET user as you standard account.

Start | Run "control userpasswords2" (no quotes) and click OK. Uncheck the
box that says "Users must enter a user name and password..." and Apply and
follow the prompts. You will now boot striaght to the desktop as before the
update :-)

Start, Run, Control userpasswords2
and disable option to require a username and password to login.
