Logon Problems

Brett

Having a huge problem with XP logon and internet access.
Have a win 2000 server as PDC and XP PRO clients. Using a
router for Internet sharing. When I sent the Pri DNS as
the router I CAN not logon to win2000 domain. When I set
the ip address of the win2000 PDC as primary I can logon
but cant get internet. SO I have to set DNS primary to
PDC IP address then logon then switch them to the Router
IP address for PriDNS. I can not fix this.

I tried an LMhosts file. Nothing... I set a bunch of DNS
address in and nothing. It is strange.

I uninstalled DNS on the PDC. Nothing...

The strange thing Is that if I logon to the XP client
localy then log out then logon to the network I can surf
without switching the PRI DNS and SEC DNS...

Please Help..

Thanks

When I set
the ip address of the win2000 PDC as primary I can logon
but cant get internet.

On your PDC that is running a DNS server, add your
router's IP address as a DNS fowarder. If you don't know
how to do this, open the DNS administrative tool, click
the help menu, and look in the index.
