I am trying to solve the RemoteAccess Asistant fail to
start problem, and change some setting of the control
console of my Compaq Evo N1000v Laptop.

I have two account, one is User the administrator, one is
a limited account. After restart, the administrator did
not appear, only the limited account show up.

Anyone knows how to recover the original User accout?
could be a new installation of XP pro?

Thank u very much for any advice given.

This is expected behavior. Once an additional account is created the
Administrator account disappears from the Welcome screen. For XP Pro, press
CTRL-ALT-DEL twice at the Welcome Screen, with no users logged on. Enter
Administrator and any password for the Administrator account.

Alternatively, To enable the Administrator account on the new Windows XP
logon screen, visit my web site, www.dougknox.com and go to the Windows XP
section. Follow the link for Enable Administrator Account ......

This small VB Script will make the registry change necessary for the
Administrator account to be available on the Welcome Screen. If you prefer
to do it manually, click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList\

Note: There is a space between Windows and NT in the above Key.

Add the Administrator account if necessary and/or change the Administrator
value to 1

For XP Home, you can only access the Administrator account in Safe Mode.

It really works. Thank u very much.

I checked with the HP support, and so far they never
provide any solution for it..... so upset

Thanks again
