logoff/restart causes shutdown

Scott

Whenever I select logoff or restart, the PC shutsdown. Not good. When I
select shutdown the PC shutsdown. Good.

Other user accounts work just fine but my account won't for this matter.
Any idea why I am so special and how to fix it?

Hi Scott,

A lot of times this can be caused by a driver crashing, which causes a
shutdown. Try starting in Safe Mode and see if you can restart there.
If so, check Event Viewer to see if there is anything going on when you
try to logoff or restart.
