logoff key not showing

my brother recently set up my new computer with xp pro....unfortunately when i hit the start button so that i may switch from me using the computer to my daughter...it does not show the key so that i may switch....in order to switch users i have to completely shut down the computer how can i get the key in place to avoid the shutdown?
 
thank u colin....it didnt put the key in place but at least i am now able to switch users thru task mgr without shutting down
