Since 1994, when I began with Windows for Workgroups 3.11, I have created
thousands upon thousands of "accounts".

We are told to "write it down and keep it in a safe place" - The ONLY safe
place is a financial instutions' 'safe deposit box' which is NOT accessible
nights and weekends.

I have reached the point where it can take up to forty (40) minutes to . . .
create a new account.

WHY has such a . . . nightmare been created?

as an administrator the only username and password you have to remember is
the Admin account. From there you can change any of the user's name's or
passwords.

How on EARTH does it take "40 minutes" to create an account? On my XP
machine it's about 10 seconds........

I was not referring to the OS, only that I began (in xxxx with v.x).

I was referring to . . . sites.
If I want to read, yes, READ something - I "login".
(cnet, pcmag etc.)
Get an updated driver - I "login".
To reinstall drivers after a format - I "login".

Login, login, login- it IS a nightmare.

Not only am I being 'tracked', I am also being . . . stalked=popups galore!

The latest was GetRight (Paid), which I haven't had on the computer in over
two (2) years. Could I remember the email address I used when registering
it? NO!
I've had over thirty (30) IP's and two hundred (200) e-mail addresses. (I
did contact them, stating these facts and a new registration code was sent)

I understand the security issue with PURCHASED Software, however I do NOT
understand . . . READING an article or SEARCHING a website, therefore I ask
once again: WHY has such a nightmare been created?

Well I suggest you stick to books and the TV then.
