I have installed windows 2000 DC, DNS and DCHP installed.
When users login in it takes longer to login. After they
loged in, when they are browsing the internet, again it
takes longer to display the webpage. We are using T1 line.
Before this we used to have NT 4 and no delay at all.

I'm guessing that maybe your client machines are pointing to the ISP for
DNS. Please do the following:

- Make sure the Domain Controller points to itself for DNS
- Make sure that all Win2k/XP client machines point to the Domain
Controller for DNS.
- To access the Internet, set up forwarders on your DNS server. To do
this:

1. Open the DNS console
2. Right click on the server name under DNS and select Properties.
3. Select the "Forwarders" tab.
4. Select "Enable forwarders" and enter the IP addresses for your ISP's DNS
servers.
