Case:- Login to windows 2000 server having DNS and DHCP
from any other client (win2000prof)is slowed.
Scenario:-
Our company have a ADSL line of Dishnet DSL, which is a
local ISP.Company has created internal domain which has
same name of an external domain.
While user tries to logon to domain, It takes much time
to load user settings and security options.
I think it first serches the outer domain and then comes
intradomain where it finds valid username & paswd.

Please send me reply if you solution on the same.

Thanking you.

The important thing to check is that your internal clients are configured to
use your internal DNS server only and do not try to use the ISP's DNS
server.
Your local DNS server should be configured as a forwarder to the ISP address
and this is the only time that address should be used.
