login server issue

we have a global catalog server in ny and one in paris the problem is
when people in paris login they get the ny server and ny login script.
question is how do i prevent this from happening. the offices are
connected through a vpn
is there a way to force a login server

Clients locate domain controllers based on the site that they are located
in. You must configure AD sites and subnets. Have you done this already?
If not there is a Step by step guide that walks you through it at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/planning/activedirectory/adsites.asp.
If you have configured sites and still have this problem then it could be
related to a DNS problem. You will need to verify that the DCs have
registered their SRV records in the correct site in DNS.
