Login screen dipslays "one unread message"

On my main login screen my account indicates "one unread
message" in Outlook. When I login and check my Outlook
Inbox there are no new messages. How can I get
the "unread message" message off the main login screen ?

Download and install tweakui for xp and use its repair mail count feature or
use it to turn the mail count off completely.

Or edit the registry and delete the mail accounts you don't want:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail
