login message

When Pc Boots Up, A message appears saying that password
will expire in 14 days, and do i want to change it?
I haven't created a password for Login so what is it?
Anyone Help?

If you're running XP Pro go to Start, Run and enter LUSRMGR.MSC Open the
Users folder and double click your username. Set the options for Password
never expires. Also in XP Pro, you can go to Start, Run and enter
GPEDIT.MSC Go to Computer Configuration, Windows Settings, Security
Settings, Account Policies, Password Policies. Set Maximum Password Age to
0 (zero) days. Passwords will never expire.

These two applets are not available in XP Home.
 
With XP Pro you can turn off password expiration.

Go to START > RUN and type secpol.msc. Go to Account Policies > Password
Policy, then double-click "Maximum password age" and set to 0.

To change it, the password will just be blank.

XP Home Edition should not have these policies (the console isn't available
to fix them)
