Login - Logoff loop impeding Windows XP start up!!

I'm using Windows Xp Professional. I have 2 users configured on this
machine.

My problems happens when I click on one of the 2 users icons to login into
their profile. As soon as the login process is completed (I can see loading
your personal settings and for one second my wallpaper) Windows XP logs me
out automatically. It doesn't make any differences the user I choose, all 2
have the same problem.

I tried to reboot in safe mode, same thing. After that I tried with safe
mode with command prompt to do a system restore from the there. This option
doesn't seem to work because I came back to the login screen with the 2 user
icons and the same process is happening.

The logon-logoff symptom is usually caused by incorrect "Userinit" registry
value, and the two links which I posted, tells you how to alter the
registry.
