login error

When win2000 boots to the login screen any user or
password is rejected and the error message "The system
cannot log you on now because the domain HOME is not
available" This is a standalone computer that was setup
with a workgroup "Workgroup" not a domain. The system
Name/ID was HOME. Is there a way to load win2000 without
logging?...

Apparently the machine is a member of a domain and was configured to not
logon with cached credentials. When you logon, select local machine name in
the drop down box and you should be able to logon using local administrator
account. If logon to box does not show under password, then select the more
or options box [not sure exact name offhand] to the lower right to activate
it. --- Steve
