logging into workfroup

Pete

I have a 2000 server machine and a pc that logs into the
domain. I replaced the hard drive in the server and
installed Windows XP, making that machine a member of a
workgroup, in effect eliminating the domain. I have a
second PC witk W2k Pro that was a member of the domain.
I disassociated the PC from the domain and made it a
member of the workgroup. When I restart the pc it wants a
login as if I was still logging into the server. I don't
have the option to log in locally because the PC isn't a
member of the domain anymore. I can't re add it to the
domain because I can't get into Windows. Is there
anything I can do. I don't want to flatten the HD until I
install all of the software on a new drive and get the
settings in sync.

* No idea what this means but you should be able to logon locally with any
local account.
